To determine the speed of the longboard some very important calculations were necessary. The calculations used are featured bellow along with some sample code.
Wheel Diameter = 70mm = 2.756 inches
Wheel circumference = Dπ = 2.756 * 3.1415 = 8.658 inches
63360 inches per mile
63360 inches /hour = 1056 inches /minute = 17.6 inches /sec = 1mph
2 * 8.658 inches (circumference of wheel) = 17.316 so … 2 Hz ~ 1mph
Speed = (½)frequency
